To give you some reference, when the slide is on, the take down lever is at 180 degrees (horizontal) and at about 90 degrees when the lever is vertical. Once you have the take down lever inserted a bit, rotate the lever to 180 degrees while you finish inserting it. Do this is all without installing the slide.. Whizzinator touch
